“In its simplest form, a
Product-Technology Roadmap lays out the evolution and timing of
platform products to serve multiple, changing market segment needs…”—Richard Albright
Roadmapping gives a product team a way of planning for the future
which grounds the evolution of products and their supporting technologies in today’s
reality. This process allows the team to think creatively while
providing the flexibility to adjust as needed. Too often thinking
about the future is pushed aside by today’s short term issues and
key opportunities are missed. Finding measures that demonstrate the
value of roadmapping is critically important.
This audio-session describes how to set planning objectives that fit
your business direction and helps you define measures to assure that
your team is moving in the right direction. One of the foremost
experts in roadmapping, Richard Albright, will show you how to get
your product team started with roadmapping – to define an
integrated, multi-generational product and technology direction and
put the right capabilities in place.
By participating in this 90-minute audio-session (with Q&A
throughout), you will learn techniques to help your product team set
out a flexible plan for the future and measure your progress in
creating value with that plan.
You will learn how to:
-
Use roadmapping to set long-term product and
technology direction
-
Match your planning style and format to your
objectives.
-
Define and measure practical indicators that
track your team’s roadmapping progress and the impact of
roadmapping on your organization
-
Get started roadmapping
You
will also have the opportunity to bring your own experiences (and
questions) into the discussion and receive expert feedback.
Invite your whole
team to join you - the fee is the same as long as you are on one
line, just put it on speakerphone!
